Evonik cooperates with AAT to build large aquariums
AAT (Advanced Aquarium Technologies), a systems provider for large aquariums, will produce PLEXIGLAS® acrylic glass in Guangdong (China) and exclusively incorporate it into its system.
Evonik already supplies PLEXIGLAS® blocks to manufactures of aquariums. The cooperation between Evonik and AAT makes the utilization of large panoramic glazing for aquariums possible for the first time. AAT will start the licensed production under the company name AAT Acrylics on a state-of-the-art production site that was exclusively designed for this purpose.
The PLEXIGLAS® acrylic glass that is produced there is used for large visitor aquariums and zoos as panoramic windows, tubes, or tunnels, among other applications.
With this license, AAT has the opportunity to forward integrate itself in the global market for large aquariums and thus operate as a full-service provider on the market.
